New Gadget For Home and Auto Inspections
Fiber optic bore-scopes have been a great tool for years when it comes to seeing in really tight spaces. Auto techs frequently use them for inspecting the tops of pistons for valve damage when a timing belt has failed. Home inspectors use fiber optic bore scopes to inspect inside walls for wiring and the presence of mold. A lot of fiber optic borescopes have a camera coupler that can be attached to a camera for taking still shots. Sometimes focusing the borescope and getting a good picture is pretty tricky. If you need these pictures to show your customer, warranty or insurance company it’s important to have good a quality image. That’s where this really cool new electronic gadget comes in from Visual Optics. The VS36-10ww Video Stik has a color monitor built right in. This bore-scope also has a video output so you can do better than just a still shot, you can capture video with your camcorder. And when you show inspection footage to your customer they will know that they are dealing with someone that takes their job seriously. To quote an old cliche “seeing is believing”. Do you use a fiber optic borescope? If so what type do have and what do you think about this one?
