How to Make Foosball Table Adjustable Legs – w/Auto Tools

Case of the missing legs. My son recently purchased a used Sportcraft Foosball table off of Craigs List and brought it home. Unfortunately he didn’t notice that the particle board where the adjustable legs go was broken to pieces and the adjustable legs were GONE. Well you know that a Foosball table that isn’t level is worthless. Yeah, I could have ordered some replacements but that isn’t any fun.

One leg at a time. I’ve got plenty of auto tools and I knew I could make adjustable legs with some with some bolts, nuts and washers. The picture above shows how the pieces were put together. The slots were easier to make for attaching the legs (to the newly replaced particle board) rather than drilling holes. I made the slots with a cutoff tool, drilling these washers was going to be really time consuming.

Putting the pieces together. I was able to tap the bolt down into the washer until it was flush and then weld the pieces together with my little mig welder. After that, a little grinding on the bench grinder to even things out and then the legs were beginning to take shape.

Repeat the process. You get the idea, not as pretty as the originals I’m sure, but fully functional and once the table is flipped back over, we’re ready to….PLAY BALL!
